Published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals, C E Ferulic is a vitamin C serum formulated under the Duke Antioxidant patent. The Duke Antioxidant patent describes effective delivery of vitamin C to skin. In order for our vitamin C serum to be effective it must be formulated with pure l-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) at an acidic pH within the 2.0-3.5 pH range and have a concentration between 10-20%.

All SkinCeuticals antioxidant formulations have been tested in final packaging and have been confirmed to remain stable and effective for 36 months, and up to 6 months after opening. L-ascorbic acid (pure vitamin C) is known to change color with time, however oxidation is minimal in SkinCeuticals antioxidant and the formulation is proven to remain effective.

How to Use

In the morning, use fingertips to apply 4-5 drops of C E Ferulic to face, neck and chest after cleansing.
Follow with other SkinCeuticals products dependent on your skin needs.
Finish by applying Ultra Facial Defense SPF 50. This should be applied before sun exposure and generously to maintain protection.

1. Cleanse & Tone

Cleanse and tone the skin. Pat Dry.

2. Prevent

In the morning, use fingertips to apply 4-5 drops of C E Ferulic to face, neck and chest after cleansing.

3. Protect

Finish by applying Ultra Facial Defense SPF 50. This should be applied before sun exposure and generously to maintain protection.

I was initially recommended this by a dermatologist and have followed his advice ever since. The SPF50 is a great bonus product that does the job of daily sun protection well and sits under make up without piling.

However be aware that the sunscreen makes the face very shiny, you will need make up to cover it. In which case you might as well have make up with sun screen and you won't need to spend money on this one.

I also feel it’s adding an extra layer of protection from the sun and helping with my sun damage skin which looks brighter since starting to use this serum. The sun screen is also fab and I will definitely be repurchasing.

I have been using it for 1 week and already have noticed that the overall condition of my skin has improved, skin appears brighter. On application, there is a slight tingling sensation which lasts only a few minuets, however have not experienced any breakouts. I was however was disappointed that it did not come with the free sample as the website mentioned as I wanted to sample other products of this range.
